Blueprints to Freedom
3/1/14 James has just completed a workshop production of a new and exciting play "Blueprints to Freedom (An Ode to Bayard Rustin)" at the La Jolla Playhouse. Directed by The Cosby Show's Phylicia Rashad and written by Michael Benjamin Washington, this project deals with the epic behind the scene efforts of the architects of the historic 1963 March on Washington; director A Philip Randolph and organizer Bayard Rustin.
